Ellen Montehermoso Stokes, a proud Filipina-American, is the founder and CEO of Miss Fabulous America, a pageant platform born in Las Vegas in 2016. What started as a local event has evolved into a powerful movement designed to empower women of all ages and backgrounds. Ellen created Miss Fabulous with a bold vision: to celebrate not only physical beauty but also inner strength, resilience, and the power of community leadership.
Raised with Filipino values of hard work, humility, and “Bayanihan” (the spirit of communal unity), Ellen’s journey to success wasn’t easy. Before launching Miss Fabulous, she ventured into various businesses and overcame personal loss, including the passing of her husband, Chief Warrant Officer Danny Stokes, a proud member of the US Marine Corps. As a Gold Star Wife, Ellen channeled her grief into purpose — giving other women the tools to rise, lead, and shine.
Miss Fabulous America is more than just a pageant. Under Ellen’s leadership, it has become a mentoring and networking platform that equips women with confidence, media exposure, community service opportunities, and lasting friendships. Many participants have gone on to launch businesses, become influencers, and take leadership roles in their communities.
Ellen is also the founder of Project Fabulous, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting women and children through mentorship, scholarships, and advocacy. Her passion for service and empowerment has touched countless lives, making her a beloved figure in Las Vegas and beyond.
Now, as the first Filipina featured on FilipinoSpotlights.com, Ellen Montehermoso Stokes sets the tone for what it means to be “Fabulous” — not just in appearance, but in purpose, heart, and action. She is a shining example of how Filipino excellence continues to shape and uplift communities across America.
